The gun models will still be enormous at high resolutions. To fix this, add this second command right after the FOV one (separate by a space):
+fov 90

In the same launcher menu, manually select your monitor's native resolution (e.g., 1920x1080, 2560x1440, 3840x2160). Apply and close the launcher.
Note: If you get motion sickness, try +fov 85 instead. The default is ~75. The gun models will still be enormous at high resolutions

Right-click Cry of Fear in your Steam library → Properties → Launch Options . Paste the following command:
Your final launch options should look like this: +fov 90 +viewmodel_fov 70
Launch the game. It should now look correct. The above method works for 99% of 16:9 monitors, but ultrawide (21:9, 32:9) users will still have stretched UI elements. Here’s how to fix that using a community patch.
