WERBUNG

Dr. Hedo, driven more by a childlike fascination with super sentai heroes than genuine malice, creates two new ultimate androids: Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. Dressed like superheroes from a tokusatsu show, the Gammas believe they are defending Earth from “evil” (namely, the Z-Fighters). Their power is staggering, easily rivaling the level of Goku and Vegeta’s Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego forms.

In the end, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a love letter to legacy. It proves that the franchise can thrive without relying solely on Goku’s next hair color. It champions the underdog, honors the bonds of master and student (Piccolo & Gohan), and delivers a simple, joyful message: sometimes, the quietest people—the scholar, the demon king turned babysitter—are the greatest heroes of all.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero represents a bold and vibrant new direction for Akira Toriyama’s legendary franchise. Released in 2022, this fully 3D-animated film shifts the spotlight away from the usual Saiyan saviors, Goku and Vegeta, and places it firmly on the next generation—chiefly, the teenage prodigy Pan, the ever-loyal Piccolo, and the troubled but determined Gohan.

But the film’s emotional core is Gohan. Once the fiercest fighter in the universe (as a child against Cell), Gohan has settled into a quiet life as a scholar and father. He has neglected his training, leaving him unable to protect his daughter, Pan. Through Piccolo’s cunning—and brutal—training methods (including faking Pan’s kidnapping), Gohan’s fury is reignited. In a breathtaking climax, pushed by his love for his family and Piccolo’s near-defeat, Gohan surpasses all limits. He awakens “Gohan Beast”—a white-haired, crimson-eyed transformation with a primal, feral aura, representing rage honed into divine precision.
