"You didn't come to me first? You investigated my own father's... folly?" Abhishek asks.
Chandrakant stands up slowly. He walks toward Alka, his walking stick tapping the marble floor like a death knell.
"Mohan," Abhishek steps forward, his jaw tight. "If this is about the property papers, we already discussed—"
Abhishek finally loses his cool. He steps between Chandni and his father. "You will not disrespect my father in his own house. Get out. Both of you. Tonight." ek vivah aisa bhi episode 36
Chandni scoffs. "Seduce? I am the catch here, old man. Your grandson is a brooding bore."
"Your mother didn't know," Chandrakant says, his voice cracking with age and pain. "I was a fool. A lonely, old fool." He finally looks at Alka. "You told me your husband’s debts would be paid if I signed over the mill. That you would give me companionship in my old age. But you never loved me. You loved the Suryavanshi vault."
For the first time in the entire series, Abhishek slowly reaches out and takes Suman’s hand. He doesn't say "I love you." He doesn't have to. He just looks into her eyes and whispers, "Stay. Not as the family's bahu . Stay as my Suman." "You didn't come to me first
A collective gasp. Rukmini’s hand flies to her mouth. Alka’s face goes white as a sheet. Chandni, dressed in a shimmering silk saree, clutches her mother’s arm.
"I am a daughter-in-law who protects her home," Suman says. She pulls out a small voice recorder from her pallu and hands it to Abhishek. "The truth is here. Notarized copies, fake signatures, even a planned elopement to frame Abhishek for kidnapping. It's all on there."
The courtyard goes silent. Alka stares at Suman, then at Chandni. For the first time, fear flashes in her eyes. Chandrakant stands up slowly
Alka’s mask crumbles. Her eyes turn into slits. "You think this is over, Abhishek? I have copies. I have witnesses. Your father promised me marriage. He touched my hand in the garden. I’ll call it harassment. I’ll take half of everything."
Abhishek holds the recorder. He looks at Suman, his eyes welling up. "You could have let them destroy me. Why did you stay?"
The episode opens under a starless, heavy sky. The air in the Suryavanshi mansion is thick enough to cut with a knife. In the ornate central courtyard, lit by dim, golden diyas, the entire family has gathered. Chandrakant Suryavanshi (Dadaji), his face a mask of stone, sits on the royal gaddi . Beside him, his wife, Rukmini, looks down at her hands, her lips trembling.
Precap for Episode 37: The family tries to welcome Suman as the true head of the household, but a letter arrives from Alka—she has filed a police complaint anyway. And a new character, a suave lawyer named Vikram Rathore, enters the mansion, claiming he has "proof of a hidden Suryavanshi heir."
Suman stands and faces Alka. "You have copies. Fine. But you forget one thing. This isn't just a business house. It's a family. And in a family, truth is heavier than any deed." She turns to the family. "Three days ago, I overheard Chandni talking on the phone to a man named Rohan. She said, 'Once the mill is in Mummy's name, we will sell it and leave these idiots.' I recorded it."
