The story follows four high school students - Spencer (Alex Wolff), Bethany (Madison Iseman), Fridge (Ser'Darius Blain), and Martha (Morgan Turner) - who stumble upon an old video game console while cleaning out a school janitor's closet. As they play the game, they are sucked into the world of Jumanji, finding themselves trapped as avatars in the game.
