Bobby Elvis continues trying to keep the Nomads (the rogue SAMCRO charter causing trouble) in check, but tensions rise. The Nomads are responsible for several violent acts meant to look like the Niners, escalating the city’s gang war. Jax realizes he’s losing control of the Nomads and that their actions are drawing unwanted attention from Pope and the authorities.
Juice continues to spiral over the secret that he’s half-black (a fact that would violate SAMCRO’s bylaw about no black members). Roosevelt, the corrupt Charming police chief, uses this secret to force Juice into becoming an informant. Juice attempts suicide by cop but survives. However, Pope’s revenge is psychological: he makes Tig watch as his men burn Tig’s beloved daughter, Dawn, alive inside a car. Tig is allowed to live, but broken.
