The Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 (Ref. CV2A10, CV2A1F, etc.) is a favorite among collectors for one very specific reason: the engine. Unlike standard Tag Heuer automatics, the Calibre 36 is based on the legendary Zenith El Primero movement—a high-beat chronograph ticking at 36,000 vibrations per hour.

If the price is under $2,500 and it looks "perfect," it is a $400 fake. The Calibre 36 is a high-beat masterpiece. If the movement doesn't sing at 36,000 vpH, walk away.
