If you grew up in the late 80s or early 90s, you know the drill. You’d rush home from school, crack open a Yoo-hoo, and flip on the TV to watch Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo slice their way through the Foot Clan. But when the TV was off? We were begging our parents for quarters at the arcade—or crowding around a clunky beige PC monitor.
They kept the classic "Press Start" voice sample and the iconic pizza power-ups. The Bad: You couldn't play with four players. It was strictly 1 or 2 players via keyboard or serial cable (remember null-modem cables?). The Ugly: The loading times. Every time you moved to a new section of the city, you’d stare at a "Loading..." screen longer than it took Splinter to teach ninjutsu.
