Introduction For professionals in the metrology and surface profilometry fields, the name Wyko carries significant weight. Originally a brand of Veeco Instruments (and later acquired by Bruker Corporation), Wyko produced high-precision optical profilers used to measure surface roughness and topography at the micron and sub-micron level.

Central to these machines—such as the Wyko NT1100, NT2000, and older RST series—was the software. This Windows 32-bit operating system software was the brain of the instrument, responsible for data acquisition, analysis, and 3D rendering.
